Transparent Mirror (2011) brought together works by Albert Mertz and Lone Mertz in a cohesive installation at Stalke Galleri, Kirke Sonnerup. The exhibition reflected their long-standing artistic dialogue, combining both known and previously unseen works, spanning different periods and media.
Albert Mertz’s explorations of the red-and-blue concept and philosophical questions of perception met Lone Mertz’s process-based practice and site-specific works, including her glass coffin project initiated in the 1990s. Together, the works created a layered narrative, linking colour theory, material experimentation, and symbolic references to cultural and spiritual contexts.
The exhibition offered visitors a rare opportunity to experience the convergence of two distinct artistic voices, united by shared sensibilities and decades of creative exchange.
