Torben Niels Ebbesen (born July 10, 1945) is a Danish sculptor and painter known for his installations and abstract works in contrasting materials. His art can be experienced in Denmark, Germany, and Sweden, as well as in several Danish museum collections. Ebbesen began his artistic education at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen in 1964. After a period in Italy, where he worked in advertising and the music industry, he studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in 1975. He was a member of the artist group New Abstraction from 1976 to 1984. Ebbesen's works combine industrial materials and experiment with form and meaning. He has also been influenced by Zen Buddhism in his approach to art.

Torben Ebbesen has been exhibited throug Stalke Galleri from the beginning in1987.
