ON VIEW 7 placed particular emphasis on the dialogue between historical works and those by a younger generation of artists. Works by key figures such as Troels Wörsel, Mogens Møller, Bjørn Nørgaard, Thorbjørn lausten, Svend Dalsgaard, and Albert Mertz were presented alongside works by artists including Jes Brinch, Nikolaj Recke, and Olafur Eliasson, among others.
This juxtaposition highlighted continuities and shifts across generations, allowing historical positions within Danish and international art to be viewed in relation to more recent artistic practices. Rather than presenting a chronological narrative, the exhibition emphasized contrasts, affinities, and ongoing exchanges between established and emerging approaches.
Through this intergenerational perspective, ON VIEW 7 offered insight into how artistic strategies and concerns have evolved while remaining connected through shared questions of form, concept, and context.
