Inside the Black Space was Stalke Galleri’s contribution to The Nordic Art Fair 2007.
The booth was deliberately painted entirely black, creating a space that absorbed its surroundings and allowed the artworks to appear as illuminated signals within the darkness. The black box functioned both as a physical frame and as a conceptual gesture: a space without hierarchy, in which 20 artists were shown side by side in a dense and focused installation. This presentation emphasized differences, connections, and tensions between the works.
