William Anastasi 

Stalke Galleri produced a series of four artstamps (2020-2021) in close collaboration with William Anastasi, each exploring a different aspect of his conceptual and process-driven practice. The stamps reflect recurring themes in Anastasi’s work—systems, repetition, authorship, and the role of chance.

One of the stamps features a portrait of composer John Cage, Anastasi’s long-time friend and collaborator. Their decades-long dialogue, often conducted in silence over daily chess games, shaped many of Anastasi’s most radical artistic strategies.

By extending his ideas into the postal realm, Anastasi merged distribution, concept, and object. The artstamps act as miniature works—visual and conceptual fragments that encapsulate key ideas from his six-decade career.
