Jeppe Hein is a Danish artist known internationally for his interactive sculptures, installations, and participatory works that merge humor, play, and perception. Today he is represented in major museums and biennials worldwide, but his connection to Stalke reaches back to the late 1990s.
He first exhibited at Stalke in the group show On Paper (1999), and shortly after created Stalke Bar including the video work Bar Displacement (1998/1999). Hein also contributed to Stalke’s major 2002 exhibition 20 Years in Danish Art with a light work, shown alongside leading figures in contemporary Danish art.
These early presentations at Stalke highlight the formative years of an artist who has since become a central figure on the international art scene, renowned for works that engage audiences directly and transform spaces into playful, thought-provoking encounters.
