Eva Larsson (b. 1953) has been associated with Stalke Galleri since the early 1990s, participating in several group exhibitions and international projects. She first collaborated with Stalke through Stalke Out of Space at Stockholm Art Fair in 1991, a project realized in cooperation with Baghuset, and later took part in the gallery’s presentations at Art Cologne.
In 2004, Larsson held her solo exhibition at Stalke Galleri, presenting a body of work that explored the border between sculpture, design, and painting. Her installations often employ repeated patterns and domestic materials such as wallpaper or textile motifs, reinterpreted into spatial forms that blur the line between art object and functional surface.
Larsson’s artistic practice is rooted in a dialogue between ornament and abstraction, delicacy and structure. She transforms elements of interior design and femininity into minimalist compositions where repetition, color, and rhythm evoke both intimacy and distance. Through these contrasts, her works reveal a subtle critique of decorative culture and a poetic reflection on perception and space.
