Art project in a maritime context
During this period, Klaus Jorn produced a series of paintings created specifically for a maritime environment. The works were developed to be integrated into the ship’s spaces and functions and were conceived as an inherent part of the surroundings in which they were placed.
Working with organic forms, strong colours, and associative motifs, Jorn developed a visual language that relates to movement, nature, and imagination. The project expanded his practice into a non-traditional exhibition context, where the artworks were experienced in interaction with architecture, technology, and everyday use.
