Performance artist, born in Austria, based in Vienna.

Since the early 2000s, Bella Angora has established herself as a powerful and uncompromising voice in European performance art. Using her own body as both subject and medium, she works across performance, video, text, installation, and music. Her works revolve around themes of identity, control, entertainment, and social critique—often with a direct and physical engagement with the audience.

Stalke Galleri has presented Bella Angora’s performances and projects since 2007 and co-published her joint publication with Christian Falsnaes. The collaboration between Angora and Falsnaes forms an important part of Stalke’s history of experimental and confrontational art.

Through her insistent presence and her ability to activate both space and audience, Bella Angora stands out as one of the significant performance artists presented by Stalke over the years.
